My glasses I thought I lost turned up in the Bermuda triangle that is my bedroom.
So I wonder: why do things always turn up when you're not looking for them?
I feel such a fool for buying that pair now...
But at least the new pair are better than the old pair!

Guns don't kill people...
A 12 year old boy from Arizona in the US shot and killed his mother this week.
I remember watching Michael Moore's Bowling for Columbine, where the NRA (National Rifle Association) said that Guns don't kill people, the people do.
I'm not so sure that is the case, especially in cases like these and more so in the one explored in the film of Michael Moore's - if I remember rightly a 6 year old killed a classmate with a gun. Crazy.
Still, the boy (if you read the article link above), has been deemed mentally capable to have the MO for the murder.
Ridiculous. At least Arizona is one the 49 US States that don't allow for the death penalty for minors (Georgia do - see "Why do people hate America" by Sardar and Davies)... so he will just be given a juvenile prison sentence.
Which is fair enough, hopefully though, he is rehabilitated rather than have his life destroyed by the courts.

Woolworths
In the news a lot lately, the financial credit crisis has affected UK retailer Woolworths forcing massive store closures.

Picture: Woolworths in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent
A sad state for a company in trading for over 100 years. I hear other Woolworths are doing ok however, but still sad to see. Apparently there's news circulating on BBC and other news outlets that Tesco or some other big company may buy out most of the failing stores.
I would post links but it's not so easy on the iPhone...
This store in particular though might be bought out by Iceland, who would be particularly interested considering the city's redevelopment scheme.

Loser and Breaker
I lose and break things all the time. Ask anyone.
This December I amazingly broke my own glasses in anger, and stamped on one pair, and lost another. So today I had to buy a new pair, they are actually designed as sunglasses, hence the size....
Luckily the stamped pair were saved. Joy!

Analytics for December 2008
Noting that it had only been going for a week, (the analytic side of things), I'm not reading too much into the stats.
It seems there are 18 absolutely unique readers to my blogs, which is not bad for a week I guess!
People from 3 Countries read this blog, which is good to see.
Most people though are generally local to my location, but one goal I'm setting for 2009 is to campaign and expand my readership.
Hopefully with the data being collected over January there will be much more to discuss next month!

2008 - Memories
September - New York - Great holiday.
Not a great finish to the year, Uni going tough and a scandal in essay marking. But on the plus side met some great new people like Kim!
A quite finish in the Coachmakers and the Unicorn.
Nothing else really to note. But always think of the year gone by.
New Years Resolution?
Remember Number 1. =]

Frankie & Benny's
A "New York" Italian Restaurant. ...
It's really not, check Wikipedia. It originated in Leicester in the 50s and there's not a single Restaurant in NYC with the name.
Fraudsters. Foods ok. Treating Macca and Kim for Christmas. Whey.

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa
Not even TangoBurst and M&Ms could keep me awake during this film.
I never seem to stay awake during films in cinemas.
I can add this to my list of films I've fell asleep to while watching in cinema:
The Ramones (in Manchester)
Black Book (in Sarasota) - that was funny, thinking about it.
Yay
